Bhavna Limbachia was born in Preston, Lancashire and is well known for her role as Alia in the BBC comedy series Citizen Khan, created by Adil Ray.
Besides acting she is a self confessed fashion addict and also started her own company called Vintage Box where she made and sold upcycled vintage and retro jewellery.
We are so pleased to feature her, especially as she is from Panna’s home town….YAY!!!
1. What inspires you
My mother.. She raised me and my siblings on her own. She never complains and is grateful for all that she has. She’s a woman with such grace. If I become half the woman my mother is, I’ll consider myself very lucky!
2. What’s your message to AWMB
Never give up on your aspirations. They may seem unobtainable at times but believe in your truth because you’re the only one that can make them happen. Also setbacks don’t mean failure, see them as progress. Be positive, patient and persistent…and most importantly.. Enjoy your journey!
3. Tell us something that would surprise us about you.
Before I worked in front of the camera, I used to work behind it in the costume department. The more I worked backstage or behind the camera, the more I desired to be in front of it. So I took a deep breath and went for it! Don’t get me wrong, It was very scary at first but I always reminded myself that it was (and still is) okay to be scared. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf once said “If your dreams do not scare you, they are not big enough” so that’s what I live by.
