A recent report has shown that a third of Britain’s working mothers are the main earners in their family, and most of this 2 million strong group are low earners. The report has come from IPPR
The report suggests that the rise in single parenthood has contributed to an overall increase in maternal breadwinners from 23% in 1996 to 33% in 2013.
