On Wednesday 28th July we were informed that one of our West Midlands Inspire Sisters, Amardeep Kaur Mann passed away on Monday 26th July due to Sepsis. Amardeep leaves behind her two young children.
We are shocked and deeply saddened at the sudden passing of this beautiful young mum who was part of our sisterhood.
Our Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the Sikh Scriptures reminds us:
jo aaiaa so chalasee sabh koiee aaiee vaareeaai ||
Whoever has come, shall depart; all shall have their turn.
jis ke jeea paraan heh kiau saahib manahu visaareeaai ||
He who owns our soul, and our very breath of life – why should we forget that Lord and Master from our minds?
We have held virtual and in person collective prayers for Amardeep. Ladies joined from all over the world contributed by reciting, holding grace, and adding their prayers.
In Sikhi we believe that when we die, our soul leaves our body and heads for the longest journey, a journey where there is no companion and is filled with darkness. The only thing that lights that path is the name of the Lord.
It is at this time that our loved ones, our family and friends can come together to help guide us by praying and an Ardaas.
Amardeep was a beautiful young mum who had started a bold new chapter living her life that was true to her values and principles. She turned 40 in April too (we joked it was our 21 + 19 birthday!)
She loved her children K & V deeply and spoke about them with intense joy. They were the light in her life.
One of her last messages to our Inspire ladies was:
“Whatever you do pls look after yourselves & your loved ones. I know we’ve all heard the saying “life is too short”. It really is as we sometimes hear stories of other people & never think it would happen to us but when it does that’s when we sadly realise certain things in life. Live each day to your fullest, enjoy every precious moment & be happy no matter what. “
We hold that message in our hearts and honour you Amardeep for blessing us with your presence. I am so proud of our soul driven community, the coming together with collective prayers, messages of sisters doing their own to help Amardeep’s transition and bring strength to her children & loved ones…the miracle of life is that there are people praying for you and you never know. May our collective prayers, light your way Home sister and bring strength to those left behind 💕

I will miss Amardeep dearly. I knew her for 10 years and she was a good friend of mine. May she rest in peace x
