Intuition & Divine Guidance Queen Esther

Our spirit and higher power uses a variety of methods for communicating with us, but the most direct route is the way of intuition. Listen to your intuition and you’ll be able to move with ease through the world.

The biblical Book of Esther reveals deep truths about divine feminine energy honouring intuition.

Queen Esther was an helpless orphan who won the marital lottery by capturing the heart of King Ahasuerus. She was expected to be quiet and compliant as the King had had his previous wife executed for disobeying him.

The Jews have been threatened with annihilation from the King’s closest advisor, Haman. Esther’s uncle Mordecai has discovered the plot and turned to his niece. Although she was initially reluctant to approach the King as it was outside of protocol, her uncle says: “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

The future revolves around this moment, and she has a choice. She can stay quiet. She can continue to live as a contented queen. Or she can interfere with the king to stop him from carrying out his advisor Haman’s plot.

But that intervention carried risk. The king didn’t know she was Jewish. Would he turn against her, as he did with Queen Vashti, and follow Haman’s advice and murder her along with her people?

Esther fasted and prayed for 3 days. She asked for divine guidance. This was delivered to her in the form of a plan.

The king grants Esther an audience and offers her anything. She only asks that the king and Haman join her for dinner. At dinner, the king again offers her anything and she requests that the king and Haman join her again the next night. Only at the next dinner does Esther reveal that she is Jewish and that Haman has plotted to kill her people. She begs the king to “grant me my life and spare my people.” The King grants Esther her wish, Haman is hanged, and the Jews are spared.

When we tap into our super power, we are able to cultivate relationships, build communities and listen deeply. Sometimes our minds get too cluttered for us to hear messages and we miss them altogether. If there are too many thoughts and noise in our minds, we can miss very important opportunities. Tune out the outer world and listen to your inner world.
