An Evening of Conversation, Connection & Community

International Women’s Day with AWMB and Association Of Asian Women Lawyers

There’s something powerful about being in the room.

Not behind a screen. Not scrolling. But physically present sharing energy, stories, and space with other women.

That’s exactly what we created at our International Women’s Day: An Evening of Conversation, Connection & Community. And with a sold-out room of incredible women, the energy was everything we hoped for and more.

This year’s theme, Rights. Justice. Action., wasn’t just something we spoke about. It was something we experienced.

Rights looked like women taking up space, sharing their voices and being heard.
Justice showed up in conversations around access, knowledge and navigating systems.
Action came alive through stories of courage, risk taking and backing yourself.

This wasn’t just an event. It was a reminder of what happens when women come together with intention.

At AWMB, we’ve seen time and time again how one conversation can change everything.

From collaborations and speaking opportunities to new friendships and ideas, these moments don’t happen by accident. They happen when you show up.

And this evening was full of those moments.

We were joined by an incredible lineup of women who brought honesty, insight and real life experiences to the room.

Bharti Radix – Founder, BloomsYard
Bharti shared her journey from a successful career in finance and hospitality to taking the leap and launching BloomsYard during Covid. Her story was a powerful reminder that action doesn’t always feel comfortable but it is where growth begins.

Sheetal Badiani – Head of Legal Operations, Vyman Solicitors
Sheetal brought clarity and perspective to navigating complexity. With her expertise in high value transactions, she shared the importance of understanding your position, making informed decisions and combining legal knowledge with commercial awareness.

Kreena Dhiman – Keynote Speaker and Advocate
Kreena’s story moved the room. Through her experiences with health challenges and personal adversity, she reminded us that resilience isn’t linear and that sometimes the most powerful growth comes from the hardest moments.

We were incredibly grateful to have the support of our sponsor, Harkirat Assi.

With a strong background in marketing, brand growth and strategic partnerships, Kirat is passionate about building communities and creating spaces where people and ideas can thrive. Her support helped bring this evening to life and we’re so thankful to have her backing a space that brings women together in such a meaningful way.

What made the evening special wasn’t just the speakers. It was the room.

The conversations that continued long after the talks. The introductions that turned into real connections. The shared understanding that we’re all navigating something and we don’t have to do it alone.

If you joined us, thank you for being part of the energy that made the night what it was.

And if you missed it, this is your reminder. Be in the room next time.

Because you never know what one conversation can spark.
