“Faith is to believe what you do not yet see; the reward for this faith is to see what you believe.” Saint Augustine
Our theme for this year is faith over fear. My word for this year is Faith. I truly believe and know that the power of Faith Over Fear allows us to reach, achieve and strive for HUGE goals, ambitions and dreams.
That when we trust in ourselves, our community, God, the universe, when we place Faith in faith Over Fear, there are no longer just thoughts in our minds, but are the real actions of the life we choose to live.
Faith means to trust what you can’t see, fear means to doubt what you can’t see.
Both require the same energy and demands you to invest into the unknown.
When it comes to your dreams, faith brings you closer, while fear takes you away.
Faith is the ability to believe, but that ability must be used and acted upon for faith to come alive and work. Faith is not a passive act of sitting around and waiting for things to happen, waiting for the job opportunity, the business idea, the relationship to flourish.
Faith requires action. Real action. It requires us to walk in the direction of our dreams and hopes. It demands us to trust the messages and guidance we are being given and follow through. Is that easy? Not always. Does it feel uncomfortable and stretching… almost certainly… but without the action faith alone is not enough.
The day started with a grounding meditation from Deepa Sapra. An opportunity to set our intentions for the day.

We were joined by incredible speakers and uplifting talks. In January 2022, British army medical officer Preet Chandi, or ‘Polar Preet’, became the first woman of colour to ski solo to the South Pole. From dragging tyres around London to managing money, she discussed her journey to the expedition.

Our Key note speaker was Tulsi Vagjiani. After a tragedy that killed her father, mother and brother, and left her severely scarred, she endured years of taunts and rejection. Now she is fighting for all those with facial disfigurements and encouraging women to love themselves.

We were also privileged to listen in to an amazing live podcast chat with Leah Chowdhry and Meenal Viz. On July 4th, 2018, Leah Chowdhry became one of the first, recorded, young British Asian women to swim the English Channel at 26 years old. With help from family, friends and generous donations she raised over £175,000 for charities. Leah completed the 30-mile swim in just under 15 hours despite obstacles like jellyfish, ship tankers and seasickness. It was riveting listening to her share her inspiring journey.

The day was interspersed with great food and company. An opportunity to reflect, connect and step into our faith over fear.

Talented illustrator Bally Kaur joined us for live drawings on the day which we sold to for funds towards our Climb Kili film.

And of course we wrapped up the day with out incredible DJ and entertainment Eternal Taal.

My message to our attendees:
“So many of you are trying to shut down what the universe is trying to birth through you? You have ben chosen as the vessel but because you don’t feel you have the resources, ability or connections you are allowing fear to stop you. Have faith that all those will appear – trust that if you have been given the dream everything else will fall into place too. Your job is to be the faithful servant and follow through.
There is never a perfect time to make that big leap whether it Is in your relationship, your career or business. No one pursues their calling already knowing everything there is to know and having all the skills, we gain those through action and by taking the chance to leap.
My sisters you must take your destiny into your own hands. And walk with faith – the life of your dreams is waiting for you!“
As Marianne Williamson says:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate,”“Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.”
You can do anything, be anything have anything. All of it is available to you.
Have the courage to follow your faith. Rupinder x
