Perhaps you’re ready for promotion but keep getting overlooked. Maybe you’ve built years of experience but still struggle to speak confidently about your achievements. Or perhaps you’re leading everyone else’s development while putting your own career on hold.
After countless conversations with women across my community, I’ve realised there’s a real need for something created specifically for South Asian women in Human Resources.
That’s why I’m exploring the idea of launching a specialist Inspire Plus HR cohort from September.
A Leadership Programme Designed for South Asian Women in HR
Over the past six cohorts, Inspire Plus has helped women:
- Secure promotions
- Build confidence and executive presence
- Increase their visibility at work
- Successfully change careers
- Launch and grow businesses
- Achieve goals they once thought were out of reach
But this new cohort would be different.
It would bring together a small group of ambitious South Asian HR professionals who want to accelerate their careers while being supported by women who genuinely understand the cultural and professional challenges they face.
Why I’m Creating This
I’ve spent more than 20 years working in HR, progressing from HR roles into senior leadership before building my own business.
During my corporate career, I worked with organisations including Coca-Cola, Unilever, NatWest and RBS, partnering with senior leaders, developing talent and helping businesses navigate change.
But despite the success, I also understand what it feels like to question yourself, to wonder whether you’re ready for the next step, or to feel like you’re working twice as hard just to be seen.
Those experiences are exactly why I created Asian Women Mean Business and why I believe there is huge value in bringing together South Asian women working in HR.
What We’ll Focus On
This won’t be another generic leadership programme.
Together we’ll work on the practical skills and mindset needed to progress your HR career, including:
- Career progression and promotion readiness

- Confidence and executive presence
- Building your personal brand and increasing visibility
- Influencing stakeholders with confidence
- Navigating difficult workplace conversations

Coaching, Mentoring and Accountability
One of the biggest challenges many professionals face isn’t knowing what to do—it’s staying accountable and having the confidence to actually do it.
This programme would combine:
- Personalised coaching
- Group mentoring
- Accountability
- Practical career strategies
- A supportive community of like-minded South Asian women working in HR
Because sometimes the biggest breakthrough comes from being surrounded by people who simply understand your journey.
