One of the highlights of the event was the presence of Harpz Kaur, a Huddersfield-born broadcaster and DJ who has graced our screens and airwaves with her infectious energy. Harpz’s illustrious career includes hosting CBBC’s Saturday Mash-up for two years and holding the reins of BBC Asian Network’s Breakfast Show for an astonishing five years, where she set record-breaking listening figures. Her charisma and dedication to her craft were evident as she shared insights into her journey, emphasizing the importance of taking risks and pushing boundaries in the world of broadcasting.
Erim Kaur, the CEO and Founder of a luxury hair & beard care company, brought her own unique perspective to the theme of courage over comfort. With over 500k followers across Instagram and TikTok, Erim is not only an influencer but also a beacon of strength and resilience. Growing up without a mother, she used her life experiences to create a shared space for other young women who could relate to her struggles. Erim’s story reminded us all that embracing discomfort and turning it into a source of strength can lead to remarkable achievements.
Siddhi Mittal, the Co-Founder of yhangry, rounded out the panel of speakers with her entrepreneurial spirit and innovative mindset. She and her co-founder, Heinin Zhang, launched yhangry in 2019, offering affordable private chefs for busy millennials. Siddhi’s journey showcased the power of taking a leap of faith, diving into the world of entrepreneurship, and shaping the future of private dining experiences.
