Beyond excited to share that AWMB has partnered with WHOA to bring into fruition a history in the making trip of a group of ALL South Asian women trekking Mount Kilimanjaro in August 2022….starting a year today! We are counting down!

Climbing one of the seven summits is no small feat, especially when you’re on track to make history.
There are many reasons for assembling an exclusively female asian group of women to climb the world’s largest freestanding mountain and, at 19,341 feet, the tallest in Africa.
Our foremost motivation for organizing the trip is unequivocal:
We want to show the world what Asian women are capable of

The Kilimanjaro expedition provides an example of what is possible for others, that it’s okay to hit pause as Asian women on your parental, family responsibilities, and seek adventure for YOU.
To be honest the bigger mountain to climb is taking 10 days out of our lives to get to Africa!
We have chosen WHOA Travel to organise this trip as we immediately saw similarity in our vision, values and ethics. Founded by Allison & Danielle they say:
“In 2013, we were just two young women with one big dream. Today, the WHOA community is bigger and stronger than we ever fathomed. Every single day we’re still learning things about ourselves and the world, and have even more curiosity and passion now than when we started. No matter your background or why you’re here, we’re honored and ready to be beside you on your journey, and to have you beside us on ours! To us, adventures are better when they’re shared and every single WHOA adventurer is an important part of the team. Together we’re unstoppable!”
Wish us luck as we commence training and get set to undertake this extraordinary trip a year today!
